Foxy Lady

Foxy Lady

I liked her better before she was coloured, but I am not sure why. What do you think? It just kind of looks better as only lines.

Eyeballs

Some eyes.

This is how all of my drawings start, when the subject has eyes; some of them just never get any farther. The lower one is supposed to be an eye as well, loosely inspired by what frogs' eyes look like. If I were a crazy alien, I would hope that I have ridiculously coloured eyes and stupidly shaped pupils too.

[EDIT: There used to be some nudity in this post, but apparently the files got lost somehow, (thanks Google) and I've decided to just remove the adult tag on this blog and keep it PG anyway. I guess if I draw anything inappropriate I can put it after a jump page or something.]

Faces and Bad Colouring

This one started, as they almost always do, with my drawing an eye and then drawing a face around it. I think I need to figure out cell shading a little better. (Or maybe a lot better.) It's not supposed to be anyone, it just has eyebrows that kind of make it look like it is. I almost never try and draw people that actually look like a person, as they almost never turn out looking anything like the subject.

This one was me playing at drawing people like I had been drawing them for Licking Darkness. I might consider a new style once I have figured out this tablet business a little better. The comment about colouring came about because I literally coloured the whole thing by using the stylus to colour it in manually. I have now figured out how to colour large surfaces with a little less trouble, (Thanks Penny Arcade!) but I still can't make it look good.

Bones Brew

This one was a collaborative effort between Bryan and I. I drew a sketchy skull, then handed Bryan the stylus, and this is what came out. I kind of like it, personally. First thing I ever drew on the tablet though.
